How To Do A Fake Undercut For Your Hair

Want an undercut like Ellie Goulding or Audrina, but don't want to shave the side of your head?
Not to worry, there is a solution! A fake undercut! I know, it sounds cheap and tacky, but after this, you will look like you've just gotten your hairstyled!

Step 1. Create a side crease.

Step 2. Grab 2cm of hair on the thinner side.

Step 3. Use gel, (you can use your dad's, brother's or boyfriend's hairgel if you want, this is what works best!) or even water, so you can smooth down the piece of hair.

Step 4. Use bobby pins to pin back the hair behind the ear.

Step 5. Make sure the piece of hair is secured into place and spritz with hairspray.

Tada! That's a fake undercut!

You can then straighten the rest of the hair, backcomb it, or curl it, like Kelly O did.

1. Gel or water.
2. Bobby pins.
3. Hairspray (optional, although recommended).

You can also braid the hair with the gel/water and pin back for a twist on the normal undercut style!
